  • "DB Trading Post" new in Rivertown, in the original Antique Photo building.
  • Outer Hanks is back to Bubba Gumps.
  • Nickelodeon Theater name is listed at Putz HQ.
  • Wings is now Rivertown Junction Dining Hall.
  • Action Theater is back with SpongeBob 3D.
  • Fudge & Fun is now Coney Confections (Did this change last year? I didn't notice).
  • Glassblower Shop has returned to International Street.

I am glad they kept it the same. Its interesting they already have a tip for the lines on diamondback. Despite what it recommends, i'll probably still head to DB first whenever I go.

EDIT: I almost missed the diamondback train on the map about to hit the splashdown.

EDIT 2: ^The path between BLSC and diamondback is back on the map as well.

Not a typo, it's been renamed back to Bubba Gumps and Lt Dan's Bar.

Bubba Gumps is, I believe a national franchise chain, so they probably just franchised it through them. Not 100% sure, but my best guess.

That is a typo. It was going to switch to Bubba Gumps, then the plans did not work out and the did not get to change the name back in time before the deadline. So it will remain Outer Hanks for atleast one more season.

Notice on the map is says 2 things on DB

Diamondback stands 230 feet at its highest point with

a first drop of 215 feet at a 74-degree angle. The ride

features 10 vertical drops overall including drops of 193,

131, 129, 110 and 106 feet, two spectacular helixes and a

splashdown ending.

DIAMONDBACK LINE TIP: The wait for Diamondback is

usually longer in the morning than during the afternoon and

early evening hours. We recommend that you take advantage

of the shorter lines on the Park’s other world-class rides

and attractions during the AM hours.

I'm glad they stuck with the Citigraph maps Paramount used. Easier on the eyes and more readable. The maps like at CP and KD, as stated, are overexagerated and look absolutely cluttered.

Also Amusement Media does a good job with maps. They do Kennywood's little map packs.

Yeah, Bubba Gump is a national/semi-national franchise.

As nice as this map is, and easy to read, I still wish they would go back and at least attempt to get ride layouts accurate. Maybe that's just the perfectionist in me, though.

^A lot more than those two coasters are messed up in some way though. Some mistakes are very small (square tables near Ice Scream Zone when they should be round). Other mistakes include Eiffel Tower's stairwells facing the wrong way, Congo Fall's sign being displayed as fully stone, Firehawk's track flipping over in the wrong section, and the plant tunnel still being present.

For someone who doesn't use the maps, I sure know a lot about them

But hey, I'm glad our map looks nice and isn't something as simple as this.

^^^

I'm currently doing something like a 14 x 25 inch watercolor version of last years map... Other parts of Kings Island I've drawn include:

1) The Crypt's cave (Acrylic paint)

2) The goddess inside Tomb Raider's main chamber (charcoal)

3) A "comic book" style 3 x 2 foot thing with little "comic book panels" of a) the Crypt sign B) the Brahma goddess preshow statue c) the Triangle rolling door.

I'll upload them here once I photograph them and color correct them for the AP Art exam! (:
