what happened to the old son of beast trains?

Recommended Posts

Only two ran at a time. I believed they switched off which one wouldn't run that season, similar to what FOF does.

It was originally going to run all three trains, (which it should now with the new, shorter trains), but do to a last minute change, the breaking system was never changed to run three trains.

-No, the "third" train was used for parts and was never fully assembled or made track ready.

It was originally designed with 4 trains in mind and would feature a load and unload station with the current station being the unload and the straight area of track just outside of the current station before the left turn dive going to be the actual station however due to the state's block system requirements this never came to be. It was also found that the block system to run 3 trains would be more of a hassle than a benefit.

Not true, briefly before the ride opened in 2000, all 3 trains were on the track. Also they did switch trains out from year to year, I saw train 3 on the track. I have seen them run train 1 and 2. Trains 1 and 3, and trains 2 and 3.

The ride never had all 3 trains on the track, it opened with only 1 and eventually the 2nd one arrived from premeir, this is when the paint scheme was changed as well. Remember, they interchanged cars as well after they added the second one, hence why one train had the paramount logo on the front and 2nd car.
