  1. Whew! Haven't posted over here in... forever. But now seems like as good a time as any! I'm honestly not sure what to expect. I've got a feeling it's B&M, but I have next to no idea what model. The only thing that seems relatively certain is the name, as Cedar Fair is filing the "rights" (or whatever the proper term is; I'm not great at legalese) to the name Banshee. Can't wait to see what the next teaser is!
  2. Aw, man! Looks like I'm not going to make it to The Beach after all... :(
  3. Yay! So excited to see these changes get started. I hope it starts a lasting revival of this site.
  4. Aw! :( I actually liked that theater, too. Many times during the hot part of the season, my family would go to KI in the morning, go to the theater when it got too hot, and then go back to KI later in the evening. I sure hope that won't happen.
  5. I vote for a grand opening, just because I like grand openings more than gradual changes. One of the bigger things that comes to mind right now is that I'd like to see a return of/an upgrade for the individual ride pages. I like what the individual pages have now, but it would be nice to see information on all the rides. Also, what if the photos for each ride were updated to show as many aspects of each ride as possible--the line, the overhead layout, etc.? It could even be done as individual videos. I'm thinking something like what kevkev44 does on YouTube for Busch Gardens Tampa. I r
  6. ^ I love to hear things are being planned for the off-season... It's such a bummer that this site has become as dead as it has. Never too late for a reboot, though! Can't wait to see what's in store.
  7. 1. Holiday World. I adore the rides, the park's policies (i.e. free drinks, parking, and sunscreen; reasonable prices for everything else; and lack of trim brakes), and the owners' concentration on making sure you're having a blast. (I can't tell you how many times I saw Will Koch walking around talking to everyone last year until his unfortunate passing.) I love the fact that you will, 9 of 10 times, be welcomed by a Koch to the park every morning. HW really does almost everything right in my book... except for the park where the park's a whole four hours away. ;) That's why the park is #1 fo
  8. ^ As much as I sincerely loved Paramount (especially over Cedar Fair), I don't think tree removal is exactly their trademark. (If anything, Cedar Fair's trademark would more likely be trim brakes and Intamins with bad downtime.) Paramount was just as guilty, if not more, of widespread tree removal. See Italian Job: Stunt Track and Tomb Raider: The Ride...
  9. KIE! KIE! Wherefore art thou, KIE?!

  10. ^ To be fair, the fog has had a really nasty smell every year. It's definitely something I learn to cope with each Haunt visit.
  11. ...Oh my. I mean, I like Holiday World and all, but...
  12. Note to self: playful teasing, when done online, apparently demands the use of ;) . Obviously, that should have struck me as an inside joke and not as someone just trying to get LOLs (which you actually had from me in the first place) or as some random, immature troll. Silly me.
  13. Hey, you've ridden Voyage, right? I think that's the coaster you forgot in your list.

  14. ...Dude, what?! Originally, I would have answered with "cool fall evenings on the Beast," but now I'm thinking my answer is "whatever the opposite of loincloth weather is"...
