  1. Someone found this link to a web archive of PKI Asylum which contains downloads for much of the music. http://web.archive.org/web/20060712074043/www.pkiasylum.com/features/pkitunes/pkitunes.html However, not a whole lot of Phantom Theater is available there. I would like to see additional Flight of Fear or other audio show up some day.
  2. A long time. :) SOB has more track than Texas Giant so it would take more than a year I would imagine. It certainly doesn't seem like a worthwhile investment to me.
  3. One of the reasons I love this site is because of the KiTunes music section. I never seem to get tired of listening to some of those old Phantom Theater tracks. Is there any way I could get a download of those in .mp3 form? Someone please post or PM me if they know something about this. EDIT: I just noticed that there aren't as many tunes as there used to be. Many of the various Phantom Theater tracks aren't there anymore.
  4. They are getting bids to determine what can be done with it. It would likely open again next year if they accept a bid. It's all in this article: http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton...son-607408.html
  5. Until we see how the Timberliners turn out on The Voyage, I'd say it's a little premature to say they will be "neutering" anything. Gravity Group's engineers are arguably the best wooden coaster engineers in the past 15 years. They have the portfolio to back it up. I think their attempt at wooden coaster trains will continue their dominance. Realistically, it's all about money though. Racer uses 4 PTC trains, Beast uses 3. It is obviously convenient to have many trains of the same type to save on maintenance costs. You have to remember that Timberliners claim to reduce track wear and tear. If that turns out to be true, KI will definitely consider it since the Beast is so long and costly.
  6. Haha, gotta love that last one. It totally underscores the unspoken Cedar Fair policy of "if it isn't too rough or expensive, don't fix it." Compare that with Holiday World which seems to ask "How can we make it better?"
  7. Hehe, yeah I was mostly kidding about the topic title change. The oxford press article sounds much more reliable. They are trying to come up with a solution to make it better.
  8. You might want to change the title of this thread... http://www.whiotv.com/news/22866282/detail.html SON OF BEAST WILL GO IN 2010
  9. A quick search and I found this link: http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/news/...100201_01.shtml Seems like it is a press release from the park with all the 2001 details.
