  1. The water/boats were removed when the ride was converted to Phantom Theater.... Good drugs? Surely you don't think H R Pufnstuf was puffing stuff? Next you will tell me Puff, the Magic Drag In was a drug song, too...and Lucy in the Sky, with Diamonds had something to do with LSD...Please...the children!
  2. Yes. Someone knows. Wheel of Fortune. It ended up in Pennsylvania, at Bland's Amusement Park, now known as Del Grosso's. http://www.kiextreme.com/history_defunct.php
  3. Yes, but only targeted to park/coaster enthusiast...the public tease began in earnest about a week ago.
  4. Last couple of months? The tease began just about a WEEK ago. Before that, there was nothing about this...at all. Terp, respecter of saying no word before it is announced! :)
  5. ***Congratulations to LEANNA CODY from Fayetteville, Ohio, the winner of our eight-foot tall stocking giveaway stuffed with more than $3,500 worth of merchandise and unique park experiences. LeAnna was randomly selected as the winner from the more than 17,900 online entries we received.*** From the Park's Email Distribution....
  6. For more, see the December 8 issue of the paper. DECEMBER 8? Why?

  8. http://toledoblade.com/article/20101105/BUSINESS03/11040369 (That last language quoted from the filing looks eerily familiar! http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/811532/000134323810000024/cedarfairproxyamendment.htm
  9. I don't think so....one can ride at any height so long as one meets the minimum. Terp, who has ridden that coaster many times (and who notes you may have to have a child with you during normal operations)
  10. It is very difficult to take seriously a show that requires such a huge willing suspension of disbelief. No way can the other employees/customers not know that a show is being filmed. Imagine, if you will, Dick Kinzel accompanied by a scad of camera people, set people, lighting, etc., posing as a new or unknown low level employee. That no one just happens to recognize. Yeah, right. Total rubbish and good PR for the companies involved. Also, be assured, if anything completely ridiculous happened, it would be edited out...

  12. Yep, definitely the Stairway to Heaven of your generation... Man, did I get tired of hearing that every hour on the hour....

  14. Uh, from the cited article: So, it will be stored away...for now.
  15. Mr. Richard Kinzel does. It's a darn shame that so far he hasn't seen fit it use it for that purpose. He must have a mean streak in him.
  16. ...assuming, of course, that it operates during the boo event and that that boo event will be Haunt... Perhaps safe assumptions, perhaps not. It's far too early to tell.
  17. Pick the old names. Pick the new ones. But a mix of the two? Seems a bit philosophically dissonant. :)
  18. You don't like Halloween Haunt as a name but have no problem with calling Top Gun Flight Deck? My head hurts!
  19. "They" didn't close the Pavilion. The owners did. What is often thought of as "they" is often market forces or an individual or company making the best decisions they can with the information available.
  20. Make no mistake about it, Kings Island is very, very proud of this Half Pint show. In fact, it is the centerpiece of their Haunt offerings.
  21. I don't see why not...your answer is correct.
