If you get a chance, do check out Holiday World, though the terrain is not kind. It is such a pretty park and the drive down, once you get past Louisville, is very scenic. Again, awful heat when we were there, 114 degrees heat index. We spent two days at a hotel in a little town and took our time because those hills. It just seems well run and Santa Claus the town is fun to explore. Also the Abbey and a nunnery, not sure what it is called, but incredible architecture and so old. We had fun despite the heat. At that time drinks were free, all you wanted. That helped. Good food too. But that was about 15 years ago as I recall.
