ASA Action Sports World Tour a Success! Boomerang Bay Waterpark Now Open! New Shows Soon to Debut!
Kings Island has been known for its intense thrills since its debut in 1972, but the park got even more extreme last weekend when motorcyclists, skateboarders, bikers, musicians, and even skydivers all took over the park as part of ASA Action Sports World Tour, a two-day event at Kings Island.
The full weekend included a Skate Vert and BMX competition, a total of six Freestyle Motorcross shows, free concerts by LoveSick Radio, Pop Evil, and Collective Soul, Team FASTRAX Skydivers, and two spectacular fireworks show, both four times their regular size! KIExtreme was present for this awesome weekend, photographing some of the exciting events. These great photos can now be seen HERE! Be sure to return to KIExtreme soon, however, as more exciting photos have yet to be added to our extensive photo gallery.
ASA Action Sports World Tour may now be an event of the past, but Kings Island still has a lot in store for the 2009 season! Boomerang Bay waterpark just opened and will remain opened through Labor Day, so be sure to grab your swim suits and beach towels and prepare for a day of fun in the area's best waterpark, with 30 slides, multiple pools, and more!
Also included in the list of exciting things the 2009 season has in store is the Kings Island's new show on the International Street Bandstand, "Don't Stop the Music!". This show premiered May 25 and will run through June 4, then return June 19 through August 23. Other shows, including the beloved "Endless Summer on Ice" in the Kings Island Theater, will premiere soon. The County Line starts on June 4, Endless Summer on Ice on June 5, and Flashback: Totally 80's on June 19.

ASA Action Sports World Tour This Weekend!
Kings Island will play host to a variety of extreme stunts, concerts, and activities this weekend, turning it into the family destination this Memorial Day Weekend! The full schedule of events has now been released, including Friday:

With all these great events, plus the park's collection of 15 world-class roller coasters, Kings Island has something for everyone this weekend! Added on to this, Kings Island will open up their awesome waterpark, Boomerang Bay, this weekend! Boomerang Bay operates between 11AM and 7PM and features thirty waterslides, along with several pools, restaurants, merchandise locations, and more!

Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend Details Released!
The long-awaited details for Kings Island's inaugural enthusiast event have been released, and registration is now open!
Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend will take place on May 9 and 10.
Tickets for the two-day event are $47.99 for adults and $31.99 for children and seniors. Admission is FREE for anyone with a 2009 Kings Island Gold or Cedar Fair Platinum season pass.
The event includes: 14.5 hours of exclusive ride time; unlimited drink wristbands; behind-the-scenes tours of The Beast (Saturday) and The Racer and Son of Beast (Sunday); all-you-can-eat meal deals; Kings Island photo contest; special guest presenters including Jeff Gramke, manager of facilities, engineering and construction for Kings Island, and other fun-filled activities.

You must be a valid member of a Kings Island-approved club or organization to attend Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend. KIExtreme.com is listed as an approved organization, as long as you were a registered member prior to February 1, 2009.
